“What e-cargo bike should I choose for my rental?”
We love helping our customers choose their e-cargo bike for their rental. Sometimes this involves a series of emails, and sometimes a phone call to discuss. We love doing both to help out our customers. Last year, we overhauled our website to help our customers make this decision better. We decided to build on that and provide more info in this blog. Here we go!
We have several models of e-assist bikes and trikes:

Adjustable (dropper) seat post
This means you can easily switch between riders, lower your center of gravity when stopped, and have more confidence when loading and unloading passengers or cargo.
Carries Cargo Easily
It has a good cargo capacity if you use the bike for an event or on a film set. The rear rack easily holds crates or equipment, and our oversized panniers hold additional items.
Carries 2-3 Children of any age or one Adult (including film crew!)
The bike can comfortably carry two children of any age as passengers on the rear rack or in child seats or one adult as a passenger, whether your friend, partner, or film crew.
Handles like a regular bike
This is our e-cargo bike, which will feel like a regular bike without any cargo or passengers. When you add passengers or cargo, it will feel a little different. Because it has smaller wheels, the centre of gravity is lowered, making handling passengers or cargo feel much more natural.

Automatic Gear Shifting
Our Muli can switch from push-button manual gear shifting to fully automatic! With the push of a button, you can have the bike automatically shift gears for you so you can focus on enjoying the ride!
Stores compactly
If you are staying in a hotel room or have limited room to store a bike, let alone a larger cargo bike, the Muli would be a great solution! The front box folds up easily, and the handlebars can be turned to the side to tuck next to a wall.
Carries 150lbs (70kgs) of cargo
The Muli’s folding front box makes it easy to carry 150 lbs of whatever - you can easily carry goods for your event, groceries, or even landscaping supplies!
Carries 2-3 young children or one dog
We can equip your rental with a super comfortable front box seat that accommodates up to two small children or one older child with over-shoulder belts. If you need capacity for a third child, we can add a Thule child seat on the rear rack. If you have a furry friend, they might love getting around in the open air by riding in the front box.
Keep your passengers protected in all weather - sun or rain!
If rain or snow showers are forecast, that's no problem! We can add a rain cover or a sunshade as an accessory. Both can be folded away when not in use.

The wider tires make the ride far more comfortable - for riders and passengers!
It has a much more powerful motor that can easily get a loaded bike up steep hills.
The battery is outside the box, so it has much more cargo space.

The front box can carry up to 330 lbs, making it perfect for transporting cargo for events, filming equipment, or other heavy items!
Carries 4-5 children, one adult or a dog or two
We equip each rental with one bench seat for two children with over-the-shoulder belts or one adult. We can also add a second bench seat with belts for four children. Need to carry a fifth child? No problem! We can add a Thule child seat on the back rack for one more! And if you have furry friends, they can ride comfortably in the deep box. We can add a folding step stool as an accessory for adults needing help stepping into the box.
Easy for most to ride - even first-time bike riders!
Because it's a tricycle, you never have to take your feet off the pedals or balance the bike. This means it's super stable for carrying passengers, even if this is your first time on a bike!
Keeps your passengers warm and dry
We can include a large rain hood to keep your passengers comfortable on wetter or cooler days. While it does not fold away, it has a large front door that zips open and a huge side window that opens—so there is plenty of airflow if you need it!

It has a super-powerful pedal-assist motor with gearing that easily propels you and your passengers or cargo up hills.

Thanks to a wonderful grant from Ottawa Tourism, we are now able to offer a second trike with a door in the passenger area, making it more accessible for seating.
Cargo capacity
The front box can carry up to 265 lbs, so it's perfectly capable of carrying all your precious cargo!
Carries 4 children, one adult or a dog or two
We equip each rental with one bench seat for two children with over-the-shoulder belts, or one adult seat. We can also add one or two additional corner seats with belts upon request. These additional seats are handy if you need extra capacity or an extra platform to help access the box and bench seat.

Convenient Storage
With its rear basket, you’ll always have your stuff close by. With an available dog carrier, you can also keep your pup with you while you ride.
Rides like a regular e-bike
This e-bike will ride just like a regular bike, but with the added benefit of pedal assist.
Carries twice the cargo weight of a regular bike
While it might be the same size as a regular bike, it has a large front rack that can carry a lot of stuff; plus, if you add our oversized panniers as an option, it can carry just about anything else you can think of. Well, not a couch. For that, you could rent our Triobike Boxter CL :)
Carries one child
If you want to carry a child, add a Thule child seat to your rental, and we’ll install it on the rear rack.
